Updated on June 30, 2019Camping at Triund is closed until further notice. You can go for a day trek to Triund and Ilaka, but camping (as a group or individual) is prohibited. The shops on the way as well as shops at Triund and Illaka have been shut down. However, magic view cafe is still open. Please make sure to carry your water bottle and food along with you in case you are planning to go there.The trek starts from Galu Temple in Dharamkot and one needs to trek for about 7-8km to reach Triund. It is absolutely worth it because of the refreshing walks amongst the Rhododendron and Oak forest. There is another trek route that goes via Bhagsu Fall and Shiva Cafe which is considered to be more challenging. Triund is also the base camp and acclimatisation point for the trek to Inderhara point in Dhauladar range.

Gather & report at RK Ashram Marg Metro Station or Majnu ka Tilla (2 km from Vidhan Sabha Metro Station) at 6:00 pm & meet the trip manager and depart for Mcleodganj at around 6:30 pm. Overnight journey to Mcleodganj from Delhi (490km).
Reach Mcleodganj and meet guide at 9:00 am in the morning. Reach Mcleodganj Base camp for freshen up and breakfast 2 Km from Volvo stand. After breakfast around 11 am We will start the trek through Dharamkot, trail passes through thick forest. After 3 km walk, we reach at Galu temple from where we will get the clearance for Triund trek. After clearance, we will proceed further for trek. En route Triund, one can sit, relax, and enjoy maggie or light snacks. After reaching Triund, we will go down 2km to Mana village camp site. Take some rest and enjoy the beautiful scenic view along with tea & snacks, Bonfire. Dinner will served by the guide. After dinner, overnight stay in camps.
After breakfast, return journey from Mana Village camps to Mcleodganj base camp. Visit Bhagsunag waterfall, enjoy some time at waterfall then reach basecamp By 12:30 pm. You can take some rest at Mcleodgamj basecamp get fresh & up and have lunch (at your personal expense). After that you can explore the Mcleodganj: Mall road, Shiva Cafe & Bhagsu waterfall, depending on spare time you have for the day. Evening board the volvo bus to Delhi.
